Apprenticeships guide

Apprenticeships are available for young people between 16 and 24 that want to gain qualifications, whilst working in a real job. A level 2 Apprenticeship will take approximately 12-15 months to complete and a level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship from 12-24 months.

An Apprenticeship is made up of several parts:-

• A Work Placement
• An NVQ
• The Key Skills qualification
• A Technical Certificate (not applicable to all Apprenticeships)
• Training and Development Workshops

ITEC offer Apprenticeships in the following areas:

• Information Technology
• Office Applications

There are 2 routes into an Apprenticeship:

• Route 1 non-employed
• Route 2 employed
