What is an apprenticeship

Apprenticeships are available for young people aged 16-24, and offer a unique opportunity for you to gain nationally recognised qualifications alongside real work experience.

An apprenticeship is an exciting alternative to college, 6th form and University.

No two days are the same and with a range of different learning experiences on offer an apprenticeship is anything but dull.

You will be working for a local employer who will pay you at least £2.65ph and be committed in helping you to achieve your programme.

You will undertake the majority of your learning in your place of work, however there may be a requirement to come in to ITEC to undertake some aspects of the apprenticeship. Because ITEC tailors each apprenticeship to the individual no two apprenticeships are the same. We would agree the programme, expected duration and content with you and your employer when you start your apprenticeship.

All apprenticeships include Functional Skills and a City & Guilds Diploma in the subject area.  Some apprenticeships will also include a City & Guilds Technical certificate or industry specific qualifications e.g. Microsoft Certification.

ITEC offers apprenticeships in Information Technology, Social Media & Digital Marketing, Business Administration and Customer Service. All of our apprenticeships are available at level 2 and level 3. Level 4 apprenticeships in IT are in development.
