Having been an apprentice myself, I understand how apprenticeships help both companies as well as college/school leavers.

With an Apprentice they receive training and on the job experience and at the end have a qualification for their chosen field such as business administration, software design, customer services and many others. Within business many companies look for previous experience when employing someone new, which the majority of school and college leavers will not have.

When we took on an ITEC apprentice we found that our Apprentice received all the help they needed from the ITEC Assessor and did not spend a lot of time out of the office at the college, meaning they were able to gain as much experience on the job as was possible. With regular reviews we were able to make sure that the Apprentice was on track with the course as well as discuss how they were getting on in the office. ITEC have offered a high level of service both to us and the Apprentice, we have used other organizations to provide our Apprentices and ITEC have proved by far and away the best.”
