We reached a point where we were outsourcing a lot of work that we didn’t have the time to manage in house. This was a hit and miss experience as the quality of the work was not always as we would like. Due to the financial climate we couldn’t afford to hire a fully experienced graphics designer so we decided to have a look at the apprenticeship scheme.

As a software development company we have many IT skills in house ranging from software engineering, web design to graphical and video design. Although we advertised for a web designer we were hoping for someone who was generally interested in the many aspects of IT.

When Luke came along for his interview I knew immediately this was the young man for the job. Within days of starting we were benefiting from Luke’s graphical and video skills. It’s also been great having a young persons input in our meetings giving us fresh ideas and approaches. I know Luke has a great future ahead of him and we’ll be doing all we can to ensure that future is with us.
